Original Gauge Co Ltd. has a heritage of Great British Engineering Skill which dates back almost 100 years starting life within the Matrix Churchill Group and latterly becoming Coventry Gauge & Tool. The business relocated to the south coast during the mid-1960's. Following numerous owners the assets were purchased in 2009 and the business re-branded as Original Gauge Co Ltd.

We are leaders in non-standard thread, ring and plug gauge manufacture, where quality is our number one priority, we supply products which are crafted by time served highly qualified engineers, who take total pride in each and every gauge they manufacture.

We operate from modern lean manufacture facility where we are engaged in continual improvement activities to enhance our working environment and methods. Utilising the latest computer business systems our focused team are on hand and ready to help and strive to exceed customer expectations.

Gauges are manufactured using traditional Matrix Churchill thread grinding machines, for which we have the largest range and selection in the UK. This equipment has been meticulously maintained to achieve the high standards and tolerances required.

Our Gauge Manufacture capability is backed up by a rigidly controlled UKAS accredited laboratory. Here we verify every gauge to either UKAS or C of C release standards. We also support customer’s on-going calibration services covering a wide range of equipment and on-site calibration services.
