Vermont Gage's thread gages inspect the pitch diameter & the functional thread for both internal & external threaded products. All stocked thread gages are made to class X toelrances per ANSI B1.2(Unified inch screw threads) and ANSI B1.16M(Metric M series screw threads). All thread gages are supplied with a Cerificate of Accuracy. Work plugs are stocked in 2B & 3B(inch) or 6H(metric) classes of fit. Rings and setting plugs are stocked in 2A & 3A(inch) or 6H(metric) classes of fit. Stocked work plugs are chrome plated. All thread gages are marked with nominal size, threads per inch(inch) or pitch(metric), class of fit and pitch diameters. One line of additional marking (up to 25 characters) may be included at no additional cost.

Measuring Wires
Check your pitch diameters
Vermont Gage Thread Measuring Wires, together with a micrometer, are used to quickly and accurately measure pitch diameters of external threads. They are perfect for calibrating or checking wear on thread plug gages, and can be used to monitor and control pitch diameters of manufactured threads.
* Tolerance (+/-.000010") of Calibrated Nominal Dia.
(+/-.000020") of Nominal Best Wire Dia.
* Tool Steel; 59/64 Rc
* 2" long
* 2 microinch finish
* Within .00001" round (100% inspected)
* ANSI/ASME B89.1.17
* Certificate of Accuracy included
Standard Gear Measuring Wires
Gear measuring wires are a quick & economical method to measure the tooth thickness of gears at the pitch diameter. Gear measuring wires are the same as thread measuring wires except that gear measuring wires are supplied in 2 wire sets. Special 4 wire sets & sizes may be quoted upon request.
* Tolerance +/-.000010"
Round within .00001"
* Wire sets up to .825" are matched to within .00001"
* Oil hardened tool steel or high speed steel
* 2" long
* 2 rms or better
* meets former Federal Specification GGG-W-366b
* Certificate of Accuracy included
Pipe Thread Plugs
For gaging standard pipe and pipe fittings!
Use Vermont Gage pipe thread plugs to check tapered and straight external pipe threads. Perfect for inspecting standard pipe and pipe fittings. Vermont Gage pipe threads are made to precise class X tolerances and come with Certificate of Accuracy. The NPT and NPTF (Dryseal) series includes standard tapered pitch diameters. The NPSM and NPSF series includes standard straight pitch diameters. Add a taperlock handle to create a complete pipe gage assembly.

Standard Flexible Hole Location Gages
For inspecting the location of a threaded hole
Vermont Gage’s Flexible Hole Location Gages are slotted at 90 degree increments to insure positive location on the thread flank, regardless of the hole size. Hole locating plugs are used to measure the location of a tapped hole in a product, typically with a CMM.
* For inspecting the location of a threaded hole
* Slotted 90 degree design locates positively on flank of parts hole
* Sizes #10(M5) and smaller are of solid construction, with front taper to cover entire product tolerance
* Use to determine centerline to centerline distances of threaded holes
